Ethanol in Q potencies according to Hahnemann

The alcohol content of medicines is frequently the subject of critical scrutiny in practice. Particularly when advising parents, pregnant women or people with certain pre-existing conditions, the question quickly arises as to whether even small amounts of ethanol could pose a health risk. The discussion often focuses on the concentration of the medicinal solution - but not on the actual amount of ethanol ingested with the prescribed single dose.

Issue 1 of the CHS publication series “Practical Homeopathic Pharmacy“ addresses these questions. It explains the pharmaceutical functions of ethanol, presents the complete calculation method using a practice-based dosing regimen, and classifies the results in accordance with the labelling requirements of the EMA (European Medicines Agency) as well as selected comparative values.

The booklet thus provides a clear basis for professional consultations and is available to download and read in full on our website.
