Glossary

Especially in a scientific and medical context, terms are not just a matter of word choice - they are tools. And, as with any craft, the more precise the tools, the more accurate the work.

The glossary is, in a sense, the toolbox of understanding that supports the process of making complex content comprehensible through clear and efficient explanations, in order to establish a common technical language.

This is particularly relevant when complex specialised content from texts dating back over 200 years is brought together. Here, conceptual precision is not only helpful, but necessary.

This glossary helps to replace confusion with clarity. It offers concise explanations of key terms, categorises them historically and in terms of content and invites you to make the professional exchange more precise, more comprehensible and therefore also more constructive.

The glossary, which is currently under construction, categorises terms from different areas:

  • Medical-historical: historical terms from medicine and homeopathy that are not in use today, have undergone a change in meaning or require clarification.
  • Philosophical-conceptual: technical terms used in the texts on epistemological and philosophical concepts, as well as underlying paradigms, axioms, theses and premises.
  • Diagnostic-therapeutic: specialised homeopathic vocabulary, which is explained in its differentiated meaning and classification according to current knowledge.
  • Research-specific: subject-specific vocabulary from the field of medical research, e.g. from the areas of statistical medicine, clinical research or basic research on the subject of homeopathy.
