Historical Development of Homeopathy

Anyone who wishes to gain a well-founded understanding of the history of homeopathy will find plenty of texts on the internet and in books (R. Haehl, R. Tischner, R. Jütte, M. Dinges, J. Winston, J.M. Schmidt, et al.). A current Google search yields over 2.6 million results (June 2023).

Everything that can already be read in detail in the specialist literature will not be repeated here. Instead, this section will publish articles and research that are not yet available or not available in this form.

The intention is to supplement the existing literature in a targeted manner and to clear up errors in the history of homeopathy. These include the cinchona bark experiment and Hering's rule, which are the first contributions on the site.

The concept of the vital force is explained separately in its historical dimensions.

The life stories of well-known homeopaths are presented in detailed biographies and illustrate the development of the healing method. This also includes an initial overview of the early disputes within the homeopathic community that have accompanied the method from the very beginning.

The overview is rounded off by a large PDF graphic on the historical references of well-known personalities in the history of homeopathy.
